Technology Exchange provided connectivity throughout Iraq to aid with the elections that went on in October 2021. Utilising their partnership with UAE based regional mobile satellite service provider, Thuraya, the remote locations of voting polls were supplied with robust connections to aid with casting votes for the parliamentary elections.
This project provided Thuraya terminals through Thuraya IP+ devices. With high-speed IP capabilities, this connection enables users to access corporate networks and browse the Internet with minimal interruptions, over VoIP solutions in the most remote locations. Additionally, they hold IP55 Protection Ratings and are built to provide protection from dirt, dust, water, oil, and non-corrosive materials to withstand the harshest environments.
Government requirements for telecommunication services differ, however they all share the need and desire for the most reliable communication services in the field. The Thuraya IP+ provides congestion-free communication to ensure full-time connectivity through reliable L band coverage to provide LAN or wireless services. Additionally, it was able to able to assign capacity to high congestion areas automatically during mission-critical deployments, disasters, and conflicts, like situations experienced throughout the Iraqi elections.
